My stay at the Embassy Suites near the Jersey Gardens Mall was average for a short stay. The room, although it was non-smoking, had a lingering smoke smell. The location near Newark airport was convenient with good food options, but being surrounded by a stockyard was a downside.

My stay at the hotel was quite an experience. The rooms were uncomfortable, unclean, and in a bad state of disrepair. Despite being equipped with a microwave, fridge, and TV, I didn't use any of them during my quick six-hour sleepover after missing my connection. The scenery outside felt like it was from a scary movie, and the double bed wasn't very inviting.
